Freescience 1.2.1 is now available for download. It includes serveral bugfixes and new features.
Meanwhile the website has become stable.
We are still experiencing some technical problems with the new website and domain: our mail addresses @digitalexandria.com are not fully operative so, if you need to contact us, please use the old @bdaweb.net domain. It is also important to note that even if this website is now fully functional in itself the Freescience program is not yet downloadable.
A new software major release will be available soon.
Until then the Freescience server will be offline.

Biblioteca d'Alessandria has changed its name in "digitAlexandria".
We're developing ArchiveMaker software and making a lot of tests in order to satisfy users requirements. ArchiveMaker will be available very soon!
A bug that could slow down your computer has been solved. The relevant update will be automatically installed next time you run DA Client
After a lot of work we're pleased to announce the release of Freescience, the first building block in our product family
In the next few days users may experience problems connecting to the DA server. After the new upgrades it will be necessary to download the latest version of the client. We apologize for the inconvenient.
This is mostly a bugfix release but we have included a new search engine as well.
This new version is not backward compatible with the old update system, so users should download and install it manually.
Through to the OAI-PMH protocol, by now there are more than 1.000.000 valuable scientific documents from digital archives like Los Alamos, NASA, California Institute of Technology, CERN, MIT.
The currently available version has multilanguage support built-it. Both Italian and English are included
